Recognize when your lover has siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents etc., that they genuinely feel close to but maybe don’t get to see very often. Or maybe the only time they get to see them is in a group dynamic such as family gatherings. Why not try setting up a pizza meet or coffee out of the blue as a surprise so your partner can have some one-on-one time? It lets them know you value those relationships as well, and that’s important.
This can be an especially endearing gesture if the person you’re arranging time with has obstacles to getting away.Be ready to help with transportation if necessary or working out those details to the best of your abilities. Maybe this means helping to get your partner onto a visitors’ list and driving them to a facility. Or finding a way to get a wheelchair into a building.
